⭐ WEST WINS 10–8 IN THE ACHL ALL-STAR GAME: DEFENCE WAS OPTIONAL

The ACHL's finest gathered for the annual All-Star Game, and apparently everyone collectively agreed that backchecking is for fucking losers.

The Western Conference walked away with a 10–8 win in a game featuring 18 goals, 82 shots, exactly one penalty, and approximately zero interest in responsible defensive hockey.

In other words: a proper All-Star Game.

🚨 NICK SUZUKI CHOSE VIOLENCE

The undisputed star of the night was Vancouver's Nick Suzuki, who decided being selected to the All-Star Game wasn't enough and proceeded to shit all over the Eastern Conference.

3 Goals
2 Assists
5 Points
1 Hat Trick
1st Star

Suzuki was involved in literally half of the West's goals.

Please conduct a wellness check on the Eastern Conference goalies.

🐐 MCDAVID DID MCDAVID SHIT

Connor McDavid finished with:

1 Goal
3 Assists
4 Points

Because apparently being Connor McDavid wasn't already enough of an advantage.

He finished as the game's second star and spent most of the evening helping Suzuki commit crimes against goaltending.

🍺 J.T. MILLER ALSO GOT DRUNK ON GOALS

J.T. Miller chipped in 2 goals and an assist, including two goals in the second period as the West started pulling away.

Michael Matheson quietly put up 1G, 2A, while Jack Eichel and Moritz Seider each picked up a pair of assists.

The Western Conference offence basically became:

"Fuck it, somebody shoot."

It worked.

EASTERN CONFERENCE: WE TRIED

The East didn't exactly roll over.

Matthew Tkachuk scored twice and added an assist, Hampus Lindholm somehow became Erik Karlsson for 60 minutes with 3 assists, and Leon Draisaitl picked up another two helpers.

They scored eight goals.

Normally that's enough to win a hockey game.

Unfortunately their goalies had other plans.

🧱 SERGEI IVANOV WAS THE ONLY MAN INTERESTED IN GOALTENDING

Six goalies played 20 minutes each.

Five of them spent most of their appearance fishing rubber out of the net.

Then there was Sergei Ivanov:

14 saves on 15 shots
.933 SV%
1 goal allowed

Apparently nobody told him this was an All-Star Game and he was supposed to let everything in.

Meanwhile, Andrei Vasilevskiy opened the game with a tidy .692 save percentage.

Elite.

💉 AND NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT PART...

As is ACHL tradition, the All-Star Game isn't just for bragging rights.

Certain performances earn permanent attribute boosts.

So congratulations to everyone who went off tonight.

Your players are about to get a little more juiced.

And congratulations to everyone whose player went pointless:

Thanks for coming. Hope you enjoyed the free meal.

The Western Conference takes the bragging rights, the All-Star festivities are over, and now everyone can return to what truly matters:

arguing about trades in Slack and blaming the simulator when your 82 SC forward can't hit an open net.

Welcome back to ACHL hockey. 🏒
